Set up

One cone per pair, partners six metres either side, one ball.

How it works

Take turns kicking the ball at the cone.

  • Kick a still ball only.
  • Step back one metre after a hit.

Scoring: One point per hit.

Say this

"Lock your ankle""Laces through it""Plant beside the ball"

Too easy?

Step back to twelve metres.

Too hard?

Stand closer to the cone.

Organising it

9 m sided area per group. With 14 kids: 7 groups of 2. With 20 kids: 10 groups of 2. Runs with one coach.

Kick away from people and windows.

Missing gear? No cones → a shoe or water bottle as the target. No ball per pair → four players share, two strike two fetch.
